We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our high performing team in coaching and inspiring, to ensure delivery of exceptional experiences for our people. As a one of our Employee Relation Specialist, you’ll be there for colleagues in the moments that matter. If you’re a great listener and love connecting with people, this could be the role for you.
You’ll be helping with everyday interactions to complex case management, providing specialist HR support, guiding managers through end-to-end processes to build capabilities and confidence to support their team. Using data and sentiment feedback from SLAs and experiences, you will be driving continuous improvement to our people deal.
The difference you’ll make:
- Coaching and inspiring our managers to delivery exceptional experiences to our people
- Managing risks effectively to uphold regulatory standards, organisational policies and employment law
- Acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for our people relations experiences, you will engage with the business areas people managers and HR team to build capability and confidence in all people relations experiences and journeys
- Providing dedicated HR support, offering specialist advice and solutions for a seamless end to end case management journey for our customers (from early intervention, up to conclusion) with knowledge across various HR Policy, including Absence, Disciplinary, Grievance and Performance
- Working in partnership with managers and senior leaders, advising and coaching them towards the best possible outcome and solution of Employee Relations issues
What you’ll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
- A deep and broad understanding of HR policy, processes and best practices with experience of providing expert coaching and advice to line managers on complex case management including dismissal and appeals
- Understanding of UK employment law. including associated risks and mitigants
- Proven ability to influence across all levels and have excellent stakeholder management skills
It would also be nice for you to have:
- Confident with a proven ability in influencer to respectfully challenge and be challenged at all levels
- Ability to comfortably handle difficult and/or complex situations
- CIPD qualified or equivalent - Level 3 or above
What else you need to know:
This role is based in Milton Keynes.
We want our people to thrive at work and home, and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

This role is a 12 month Fixed term contract.
